Squash Varieties

Some plants can be added in rows, while others do better in hills. Most squash plants fall under the latter growing recommendations. Regardless of whether you’re growing yellow or Butternut squash, all should planted in hills and will take about 50 days on average to grow before being harvested. As squash is sensitive to frost, wait until all signs of it have passed in the spring before adding your transplants.
