Cabbage plants are some of the cooler weather vegetables that, if spaced appropriately, can be grown about two per year. Generally, this means that cabbage can be grown in the early spring and fall. Cabbages need six to eight hours of sun per day, regardless of variety, and are one of the deep planted transplants we carry. Plants need to be spaced about 12 to 24 inches when being added and mature between 50 and 85 days. If the cabbage is ready to be harvested, squeeze the head to check for solidity.
