Peppermint has several uses, including teas, seasoning, and garnishes when fresh or dried. If you plan to add peppermint to your herb garden, realize that it will be a perennial that can be added in either spring or fall. Any planting area for peppermint needs full sun to some shade and all plants should be added 12 to 36 inches apart, as this herb grows quickly. Additionally, this herb is ideal for container growing.
