Sugar Snap Peas

This type of pea is known for its versatility. If you let them grow slightly larger, they can be shelled like English peas and, if picked when young, they can be used like snow peas. Sugar snap peas don’t need a trellis to grow on, but a trellis or stake can be used if you prefer. These plants should be spaced five inches apart in a garden in rows 18 inches apart and should receive plenty of sun. Additionally, this type of pea can be grown in containers.

Here are our suggestions for growing Sugar Snap Peas:

Harvest: 62 days.
Exposure: Full sun.
Water Needs: Regular Water
Fertilizer: Fertilize when planting and when plants begin to bloom.
