Arugula

Arugula is a crop that’s at home in both vegetable and herb gardens, although, as a green, the plant is by definition a vegetable. Likewise, arugula is grown like most other greens, as a cooler weather annual that should be planted in early spring or fall and needs full sun to grow. The soil, additionally, should be moist and fertile but also well-drained. These plants typically get to be six to 12 inches tall and when adding them to your garden, should be spaced 12 to 18 inches apart.

When you add arugula, you should consider these suggestions:

Harvest: When leaves are developed.
Exposure: Cool temperatures. Full sun to partial shade.
Water Needs: Keep soil evenly moist.
Fertilizer: Fertilize when planting and lightly periodically.
