Yellow Straight Neck is the typical summer squash, with a long, four to six inches long body and a bright yellow color. These plants should be placed in hills when added, with each hill three feet apart. Three plants should be added per hill, at three to four inches apart. As with all squash plants, yellow straight necks need plenty of water and fertilizer when growing.
If you’re adding this squash, some suggestions include:
Harvest: 55 days. Exposure: Full sun. Water Needs: Keep evenly moist, especially in dry times. Fertilizer: Fertilize at planting and again as flowers develop.
