Farmer Phil's Roma Plum Tomato

Roma Plum Tomato

Roma plum tomatoes are best for sauces, as the fruits, with thicker walls, aren’t as juicy as other varieties. Each fruit, when fully mature, is three inches long and has fewer seeds. These plants need to be placed in a warmer part of your garden with plenty of sun and water and, as with all tomato plants, should be spaced 24 inches apart and given a trellis.

If you plan to grow Roma Tomatoes, you should consider these suggestions:

Harvest: 80 days.
Exposure: Full sun. Plant after danger of frost.
Water Needs: Keep plants evenly moist.
Fertilizer: Fertilize at planting and again as flowers develop.
